Physical Education

This year I started FLVS PE Hope Class.  I like that I can do it on my own time but it is a lot of work.  First I have to perform a self assessment of my current physical abilities.  This is called a baseline.  I had to time how long it took me run a mile, measure my body mass index or BMI, how many push ups and curl ups I can do.  I also had to measure how flexible I am.  This was sort of like a science experiment because I had to set it up with a ruler and box.  First I had lay a box at least of 12 inches high on its side, then tape a ruler on top of the box, with the first 9 inches hanging off the box, with 0 being towards me.  Then I had to lay down on a mat in front of the box.  I had to sit up and put my feet flat against the box but bend one knee at at time and reach as far towards the ruler as I could.  The goal is to reach the 9 inches.  I only got to 2!  This is an area I have to work on.
