ART STUDY WYNWOOD WALLS

This year we took time to see art.  We did not just go to museums where are is on display and most of the time only people who can pay the entrance fee can enjoy.  We also looked around wherever we were for public art.  I like public art because it can be seen by anyone.  It is open and free.

A great example is the Wynwood Walls in Miami, Fl.  It shows some amazing art made by graffiti artists who use the world as their canvas. The wynwood area is full of warehouses just big block warehouses that are plain and kind of ugly.  The art transforms this are into something beautiful and insightful.  The colors are so vibrant. The lines are like moving on the surface.

It's not what people think of when they hear graffiti.  It's not tagging or just words.  It's actual art.  I think it is impressive to work on such a large scale and have the art still feel so personal.  When I stood in front of the different pieces, I felt a real connection to them, especially the deep colors.
